Children, Youth and Families

A dynamic, growing faith community of children, youth and families is the heart of St. Paul's! Our programs foster God’s love in a progressive, inclusive setting.

At St. Paul’s Cathedral, we welcome the joyful noise of babies and kids in all of our services! For those times when you need a little extra support, the Nursery is a clean, safe haven for your little ones. It's equipped with a full changing table, private nursing room and age appropriate toys. Best of all, it's staffed each Sunday from 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. by our loving, dedicated and certified caregivers.

Sunday School (ages 4 - 10)

We believe that children have an innate sense of the presence of God. We use a Godly Play curriculum, based on Montessori principles, which helps kids to explore that truth, while expanding their understanding of faith through story, wondering and play.

Godly Play begins at 10:15 in the 3rd Floor Atrium Room most of the year (during the summer, Godly Play Sunday School is on break). Please accompany your children to their classroom, and then enjoy a few minutes to yourselves before the 10:30 a.m. service begins. Kids return to the service with their teachers at 11:15 a.m. through the Guadalupe Station doors (to the left of the altar).

Youth (ages 11-18)

Our dynamic and talented group of Cathedral Youth meet Sundays for a variety of faith-forming activities, including taking part in worship, talking about life and faith, and mentoring the younger children in Sunday School. Meet at 10:15 a.m. in the Cathedral Youth room, off the 6th Avenue Courtyard. (Youth do not meet during the summer months.)

In addition to weekly Sunday morning programming, we offer opportunities for service, fellowship and education for kids, parents and families.
