The North American Academy of LIturgy had a Eucharist at the Cathedral to celebrate Epiphany on Friday, January 6. The service, sponsored by the Lutheran members of NAAL, used materials from the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America’s new book of worship which is to be published in the coming year. Cathedral clergy, acolytes, vergers and altar guild members participated and the Cathedral Schola provided musical support for a beautiful service. The NAAL members had their annual conference in San Diego that weekend. The Rev. Louis Weil, a leading authority on liturgy in the Episcopal Church and a former professor at Nashotah House and the Church Divinity School of the Pacific attended and also worshipped at St. Paul’s Sunday morning with his good friend and former student at C.D.S.P., Canon Lee Teed.
Bring your friends for an evening of personal reflection on the person of Jesus and His influence in our lives. Adrian Plass’ witty British humor and unique perspective on the Christian life will not only entertain, but will also leave you thinking about Jesus in a fresh way. Enjoy Adrian’s presentation, ask him a question, get your book signed, and enjoy refreshments!
