Cathedral Music and PACEM present Noye’s Fludde (Noah’s Flood). The ingenious score of this beloved “church opera” by Benjamin Britten, one of the 20th century’s musical giants, brings together professionals, amateurs, and audience in a collaborative effort, with costumes, masks and scenery all created by the cast. This spectacular production will feature 150 children from the Cathedral’s boy and girl choirs and the San Diego Children’s Choir. $15 suggested donation; children under 16, free.

Second Saturday Cinema Presents

Jesus of Montreal posterMarch 11, Saturday at 7pm, Guild Room

 

Jesus of Montreal (1989, R). A group of actors putting on an interpretive Passion Play in Montreal begin to experience a meshing of their characters and their private lives as the production takes form against the growing opposition of the Catholic church. Join us for a free screening of the film, with free refreshments, and a discussion following the movie relating it to the scripture readings for the following Sunday.
