Faith Leaders for Peace is a newly formed ecumenical interfaith clergy coalition of faith leaders of San Diego. “We believe we have a calling to speak out: Faith Leader to Faith Leader and Faith Leaders to the Faithful.” Faith Leaders for Peace believe all of us should live to the deepest parts of our faith holding firmly to the ideals of Hope, Justice, Reconciliation and Acceptance to create a more peaceful and loving world.
Anyone so moved may join the program which gathers at the Cathedral on Sunday afternoon, March 19, 2006 at 2:00 pm for prayer. At 2:45 there will be a silent walk to the Hall of Nations in Balboa Park where clergy and lay participants will break their silence and proclaim the peace of God. All are welcome to gather for Prayer and the Peace Pilgrimage to the Hall of Nations building in Balboa Park. Let’s give peace a chance.
