Living the Questions
Living the Questions
Wednesday nights in the Guild Room
6:00 to 8:00 PM, October 19 to November 30, 2011
Every wonder why our vision of Christianity is so different at St. Paul’s from elsewhere? How is it that we can read the same Bible and hear a message of affirmation and inclusion where others find judgment and exclusion? Why do we seek to build the kingdom here and now rather than looking for signs of the “end times”? Join us for seven Wednesdays this Fall as together we explore thoughts from some of the preeminent theologians of our time.
* What it means to be a “progressive Christian?”
* How to read and understand scripture differently
* How to embrace “mystery” and “uncertainty”
* What do we mean by faith as a “journey”? And much more!
The classes begin with a group meal, a short DVD presentation, and then we break into small groups. Stop by the table in the courtyard for more info and to register—or email Rev. Canon Allisyn Thomas at thomasa@stpaulcathedral.org or 619-298-7261 x333.
