Building Cleaning
Help is needed to clean and polish the Cathedral before major feast days and large Cathedral events, as well as for on-going projects that protect the building and make the campus welcoming to visitors.
Gardening
On-going and seasonal opportunities exist for anyone with a green thumb to help maintain campus gardens and grounds.
Chapter
The Chapter functions as the Board of Directors of the Cathedral. Members are elected to three year terms at the Annual Meeting of the congregation. Meets the last Tuesday of the month at 5:30pm. Contact Stephen Velez-Confer at 619-269-8345 or sconfer@aol.com.
Thrift Store
In-kind gifts to the store help support Uptown Faith Community Service Center and Episcopal Community Services in providing aid to the jobless, homeless and helpless in our neighborhood, and Julian’s Anchorage (a shelter for women and children who have suffered from domestic violence). Clothing donations are given to the homeless in our neighborhood – a good sense of giving back. The Thrift Shop is also a little get-away place for housebound individuals. General Office Work
The Cathedral office relies on volunteers to stuff bulletins, assist with mass mailings, and other miscellaneous business. The Cathedral office is open Monday through Friday from 9:00am until 5:00pm.
Money Counters
This group tallies the gifts, pledges, and other receipts for all Cathedral ministries, events, and operations. They sort and count currency and allocate the funds to the general ledger and pledge accounts. Meets on Mondays at 8:30am.
