September 10 is Homecoming Sunday at St. Paul’s!
Everyone is invited to our 2nd annual Homecoming Picnic in the Park. We’ll provide hamburgers, veggie burgers, hot dogs, with all the trimmings as well as tasty Potato Salad. Bring a friend, bring your family and bring a dish to share. We need chips, baked beans, deviled eggs, green salads, fruit salads and desserts.
Help us celebrate the beginning of our new and exciting Fall Season.
Following the 10:30 am service we’ll walk across 6th Avenue to Balboa Park for a picnic, games and music. It is casual Homecoming Sunday at the Cathedral. But don’t forget your sunblock. There will be fun games and face-painting for all who are young at heart.
Look for the signup tables after Sunday services between now and September 10.
We need volunteers to help setup, serve, and cleanup and bring food. We’re looking for a couple of volleyball nets and balls. Please contact Jane Van Der Velde.
Setup:
If you would like to help setup, arrive Sunday morning between 8am and 10 am.
Cleanup:
If you would like to help cleanup, please contact us.
Games Coordinator:
If you have a volleyball net or two and would like to help coordinate games during the picnic, please let us know!
Food Signups:
Check after the Sunday Services or drop by the office and check with Judy. Bring your goodies in disposable containers, don’t bring serving spoons, the church will provide all utensils.
Prechurch Dropoff:
Curbside dropoffs are available for your cooler, food or picnic basket before church. Put masking tape or duct tape labels on all coolers and dishes. Everything will be left in the “pickup area” after the picnic so you can drive by and pick them up!
Special Needs?
If you have any special needs, let us know, this is a parish-community event and all are welcome and included. |
