“In… worship, we join with others to acknowledge the holiness of God, to hear God’s Word, to offer prayer, and to celebrate the sacraments.” Cathedral worship centers around the celebration of the Eucharist, also called Holy Communion. All are invited to participate both as worshipers and in specialized roles such as choristers and liturgical assistants (for example, acolytes or ushers). In addition, the worship life of the Cathedral is marked by Daily Prayer, Morning and Evening, which is generally led by lay officiants.
