In the early 1950’s The Rev. Harold Robinson (rector of what was then St. Paul’s Church) and a group of lay leaders had a vision of establishing a senior housing ministry in the city of San Diego. Now, more than fifty years later St. Paul’s Senior Homes & Services has grown to serve over 500 seniors in five buildings in a multitude of programs and services. St. Paul’s Manor – St. Paul’s Manor is a charming independent living community located in Banker’s Hill, just a few short blocks from the Cathedral and Balboa Park. Residents can choose from private studios and one-bedroom apartments that include up to three restaurant-quality meals daily in the dining room, a full activities schedule (not just bingo), transportation to scheduled outings and much more. St. Paul’s Villa–St. Paul’s Villa (assisted living) features private studios, one bedroom and two bedroom apartments that allow seniors to maintain their independence as much as possible through help with activities of daily living. St. Paul’s John A. McColl Family Health Center – The McColl Health Center is a 59-bed skilled nursing community nestled in a serene neighborhood in Banker’s Hill. Available for both rehabilitation and long-term care, the community has an earned reputation for compassionate care. On-site rehabilitation, a chapel, beauty shop and other amenities allow Residents to get receive the care they need, while also having access to the services they desire. St. Paul’s Intergenerational Day Care Program – St. Paul’s Child Day and Senior Day Care Programs get together for activities, meals and events. This intergenerational interaction enhances the lives of both the children and seniors. The Child Day Care Program is for children from 2-months to pre-kindergarten. St. Paul’s PACE – St. Paul’s PACE (Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly) supports San Diego’s frail elderly so they can remain at home with pride and dignity by providing a caring network of social and medical services.
