Discovering Your S.H.A.P.E.

“Send us now into the world in peace, and grant us strength and courage to love and serve you with gladness and singleness of heart…”

We speak those words – or some similar variation – each Sunday as part of the Post Communion Prayer.

But how exactly are we to do that? Where do we start? After all, the opportunities for ministry are endless; it can be overwhelming.

Perhaps you’re already serving in different ways, but none of them feels like the right fit. Or worse, perhaps you’re feeling tired or burned out more often than not by your ministry, rather than feeling spiritually charged and joyful.

Then it’s time to discover your S.H.A.P.E.!

You see, God made each of us for a reason; a unique shape for ministry and service. S.H.A.P.E. is a 6-part small group study designed to help you begin discovering your gifts and to start finding your purpose. This is a life-long journey for most of us, and it never truly ends, but discovering your S.H.A.P.E. is a great place to start.

And you won’t be alone.

Starting May 20th, we will be embarking on this journey of self discovery and discernment through small groups meeting in homes during the week. In the first two sessions, we'll start with a look at our spiritual gifts and get to know one another. In week three, we consider our passions - where is our heart? In week four, we take an inventory of our skills and abilities. Next is our personality, and then finally, in week six, we'll look at how our life's experiences, the good and the bad have uniquely prepared us to serve certain groups or communities.

Don’t miss out on this exciting and possibly life changing experience. It’s time to discover your shape.
