Sunday, February 5—The Spiritual Gifts of Loss and Change, with The Rev. Canon Allisyn Thomas
Based on the book Lose, Love, Live by Dr. Dan Moseley, a coach/consultant and Professor Emeritus of Practical Theology at Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis, this forum will look at the reality of loss in our lives and suggest a cycle for dealing with it and the spiritual gifts, self understanding, and renewed life which can emerge.
Sunday, February 12 — Why Do They Do That?
One of the great mysteries to people upon first visiting an Episcopal service is why people stand, kneel, bow, or cross themselves at several times during the liturgy. But this confusion is not just shared by people new to the church. Even those of us who have grown up in the church and who know when to do these things (or at least think we know) are not sure why we do them. Come join Canon Brooks Mason, Verger Don Mitchell, and The Rev. Canon Allisyn Thomas as they unravel these great mysteries and answer your questions about our liturgy.
